Amazon.com Product Description Windproof and water-resistant, the Pearl Izumi Women's Elite Barrier Convert Cycling Jacket is an updated version of PI's popular Vagabond Jacket. Comfortable and highly breathable, the Elite Barrier Convert Jacket features zip-off sleeves for use as a jacket or a vest. One-piece integrated sleeve construction makes it easy to remove and store sleeves and a back zippered pocket is included for removable sleeve storage. Ideal for cold and wet weather rides, its Barrier fabric provides outstanding wind and water resistance for almost any inclement condition. Elite Barrier fabric with soft micromesh on the inner collar is included for added cold weather luxury. Other features include two zippered hand pockets, a hidden zippered chest pocket, and reflective elements for low-light visibility. With a semi form fit for added performance, this jacket comes backed by a limited lifetime warranty. About Pearl Izumi More than 50 years ago in Tokyo, a father produced Japan's first bicycle racing apparel for his son, a promising racer. He named his soon-to-be-established company Pearl Izumi, derived from the gem "pearl" and an area of Japan known for its clear water ("Izumi"). Literally translated, the name means "fountain of pearls." Distributed in the U.S. since 1981, Pearl Izumi USA sponsored the U.S. national team in 1984 and several major trade teams during the mid-'80s, helping the company earn an almost cult-like following among cyclists. The Pearl Izumi USA line is dedicated to meeting the needs of the serious sport enthusiast, including not just cyclists but cross-country skiers, triathletes, duathletes, runners, and more.
Product Description Grab the versatile Pearl Izumi Women's Elite Barrier Convertible Jacket for a run or ride when inclement weather is on the horizon. Leave the sleeves on if it's cold or wet, and when all you need is a vest, the sleeves zip off and stow in the back pocket. The jacket's Elite Barrier fabric sheds wind and light precipitation, and soft micromesh on the inner collar adds a soft feel against your neck. Open the Direct-Vent back panel for a little extra airflow during a long hill climb.

| Customer Reviews: Great cycling jacket November 6, 2009 A. Cowan (Bristol, TN United States) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This jacket is just what I was looking for in a cycling jacket, bright color, wind protection, and water resistant (I have not worn it in the rain yet). I love that the sleeves zip off but wish the zippers ran from bottom to top rather than the other direction as it would allow a bit more armpit ventilation with the arms still on. The only problem that I have with this jacket is in great agreement with the other review...it runs really small. I always wear a medium in a jacket to give a little extra room for a layer underneath. I had to reorder a large, and the sleeves are a bit long. However, I will take the sleeves for a little more room in the body. The collar is very comfortable and soft. I am sure that I will get much use out of this jacket. Overall, a great asset to my safety with the high-vis yellow color. (screaming yellow)

Nice! October 12, 2009 Danielle Bond (Huntsville, AL) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I love this jacket!!! Being able to convert it and place the sleeves in the back pocket is wonderful and the bright yellow is easily visible. Only problem is that the size runs really small. I ordered a larger size than normal and still found it tight at the shoulders (especially when gripping the handlebars). Light-weight, warm and soft on the skin. Not sure how it does for rain yet, but for wind it's pretty good.
