The item is for children or teenagers, not adults. The photo is misleading. It is too low to sit on for a normal sized adult.

My 6 and 4 year old share a room with bunk beds. I ordered this inflatable sofa as an inexpensive seating solution for reading time before bed. It inflates quickly with an electric pump (which I had already) and is actually quite comfortable for 1 adult and two children. I don't see how it can be inflated without an electric pump - the fill valve won't work so well with lips & lungs. Because it is pvc or latex (or whatever it's made of) it smelled of plastic (off-gassing?) so I don't want to leave it in their room at night until the smell dissipates. It is made by Intex, famous for their inflatable pools and pool toys, so it's no surprise that it smells like a new beach ball. But it's full of air! So easy to move to another room. It certainly couldn't be beat for the price as a real sofa would have easily cost 6-10 times as much. I can't comment on its durability as I've had it for less than a week.

Very sturdy and has no trouble with 2 large people on the couch. Great for tailgating or camping. Small foot print in the car and great seating when you are at your destination.

just got it and i'll be looking into a refund. i can feel/hear it deflating as i sit on it. the screw cap that holds the air in is as tight as it gets and it still leaks.

I bought this just recently and so far so good - no leaks or blow outs - but I know this happens to such products like airbeds, so I don't much expect durability, etc. But the build quality of this looks and feels well made. I got this so I can have extra seating in a small room/area and also found its good to inflate if you want to use it when having pizza night in front of the TV because it can handle a spill (stain proof - cleans up with soap and water). So for under $30 it is a great buy. It handled two average people's weight well so far.
